She won the title of Arab Idol with her amazing renditions of a number of pop and classical Arabic songs. She was at high school then. Carmen Soliman took the title home, celebrated with her fans. Did a number of interviews with her mother to her side. Then she went home to study for the High School exams, she passed and manged to get good grades.
Now some of her fans are awaiting her next move, what will she do? I know I was one who loved her cover of the old Arabic songs, she did them with such a passion and loyalty to the original songs. Her mom accompanied her in singing too, her father is managing her career but without affecting her school work.
Carmen did Fayrouz songs like few could, then she went into the heavy mode and channeled Oum Kalthoum in immortal inta omry. A star was born, yet she has to figure out her path and talk about her new album. I do not blame her, it's a really tough market.
